Pastoral Search Team Interviews

We had an amazing turn out of individuals who said YES to pursuing a position on our Pastoral Search Team! Throughout the interviewing process, our Nominating Committee was truly inspired by the many candidates who stepped forward for consideration. As a group they shared a renewed sense of excitement and hope as we as a church embark on this journey to prepare ourselves for a new Lead Pastor and to lean into what the Lord has in store for our church.

In preparation of the vote on Sunday, November 2nd, please review each of the nine Pastoral Search Team (PST) candidates. Alicia Monroe; our Elder Board Chair, is automatically on the (PST); however, we have included her photo and bio for your convenience.

Our church congregants will have the opportunity to speak with nominees, ask questions or follow up with Alicia Monroe, Elder Board Chair, until Wednesday, October 29th, four days before the vote.

Requirements For Voting Process of the Pastoral Search Team

In compliance with the Evangelical Covenant Church, the vote for our Pastoral Search Team will take place in the following manner:

  • Congregants must be physically present at the November 2nd, Town Hall in order to vote.
  • Congregants must be a verified Member of Canyon Springs Church (CSC) in order to vote.

  • Congregants will have the choice to vote via a paper ballot or an online voting ballot at the Town Hall.
  • Congregants will vote on the 8 Pastoral Search Committee candidates as a group and not individually.
  • A simple YES or NO vote will be presented.
  • A minimum of 2/3’s affirmative vote must be reached in order to affirm the Pastoral Search Team.
  • The results of the vote will be published within 24 hours of the Town Hall via an online eBlast to the congregation.
  • If a minimum 2/3rds vote is not reached, the Elder Board and Nominating Committee members will reconvene and determine the reaffirming process.
