More About Megan, From Megan

I grew up going to church with my family, and got really involved in middle school. In the beginning of high school, I fell away from my involvement in the youth group due to busyness with sports on weekends and youth group nights. I got really connected again towards the end of high school. I had amazing leaders who knew I was sticking around for community college and asked me to lead a small group of girls coming into high school. I accepted and fell in love with serving the Lord through serving high school students.

I was looking for ways to deepen my faith and understanding of God and at the same time, was looking to transfer to a university. I began to apply to local Christian colleges. I chose Vanguard University in Costa Mesa and it was close enough to commute to, so that I could still be a leader to my group of girls.

I met and fell in love with my husband around the time I began going to Vanguard. About a year into dating we got engaged.

Chad was working as the associate youth pastor at the church I was volunteering at, but was looking for a full-time position elsewhere. We were very blessed to have found Canyon Springs and Chad got hired as the youth pastor. A couple months later, we got married and I moved down here to be at Canyon Springs. I have loved every opportunity I have been given to serve at Canyon Springs and it has quickly become a home to me.
