Who We Are
Canyon Springs Church is a Christ‑centered Evangelical Covenant congregation in the Scripps Ranch community of San Diego. We serve a diverse region of more than 200,000 people, including families from Mira Mesa, Poway, Rancho Peñasquitos, Carmel Mountain, and the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station. Our neighborhood is known for excellent schools, active families, and a strong sense of community.
At Canyon Springs, our mission is simple: help people enter and deepen their relationship with Jesus. Guided by the conviction that it’s about The One, we pursue authentic faith, meaningful relationships, and lives that reflect Christ’s love in everyday moments.
We are a highly relational, intergenerational church where people genuinely know and support one another. Many families have been with us for years, creating a strong foundation of trust and shared ministry, while newcomers quickly find connection and belonging. Over 110 adults and students volunteer regularly in many different roles, in every ministry at our church. That’s over 80% of the congregation engaged in our church community and growing the Kingdom!
We are deeply invested in the next generation. Our Children’s, Middle School, and High School ministries are vibrant, well‑supported, and deeply impactful—reaching hundreds of students through weekly programs, camps, and community‑wide events.
Our adults grow and serve through small groups, men’s and women’s ministries, music, hospitality, care, prayer, and hands-on outreach. We also partner in missions locally and globally, including ongoing work in Mexico and Guatemala.
Canyon Springs is a place where people don’t just attend—they belong, grow, and serve together as we follow Jesus and love our community.
