It’s no secret that 2020 has been a uniquely difficult year. We’ve had to handle a global pandemic, new situations, social justice tensions, and a divisive political atmosphere. I don’t know what November has shown for your family just yet, but I can say for myself that it has been difficult to express gratitude throughout this year.
I have been challenged by Psalm 107:1 (NIV): “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
As believers, we are called to be thankful simply because the Lord is good and science even backs up the significance of gratitude. Outlined in this Forbes article, expressing gratitude benefits our relationships, health, and even our sleep! Giving thanks is all around this month, so here’s how you can incorporate it into your home this season.
What a wonderful peace we are given as believers that we can come to the Lord, weary and weak, giving our thanks to him for his goodness, and surrendering our hurts to him.
Praying for gratitude in your homes this week,
