A Family that Serves Together Sticks Together: Hume Volunteer Day
As you may know, this is Hume’s first year at their new campus, Hume SoCal. With their reduced revenue over the last year, there’s still a good amount of work to be done to make sure their new camp is beautiful and ready for campers to start arriving this summer.
In light of that, Hume has invited us to join them for their next Hume Volunteer Day on Saturday, May 15. This opportunity is for anyone who has a heart to see kids hear about the life changing power of the gospel and is willing to get a little sweaty for the cause. In addition, they are also looking for skilled workers to help with specialized projects, such as electrical, plumbing, and construction.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you and your whole family to invest into the people who will be making the truth of Jesus come to life in transformative and powerful ways for our high schoolers this summer. And not only that, but it’s a great opportunity to bond together as a family in a different and positive way. And if that’s not enough, campers who serve will receive a $20 voucher to use in the gift shop/snack shop while they’re at camp.

Midweeks are Now Weekly!
Now that we’re back indoors, we’re officially weekly through the end of the school year! Even better, once your son or daughter is registered for one week, they’re good to go for the upcoming weeks! So, we look forward to seeing your high schoolers every week through our big year end wrap up on June 3. And stay tuned for our full summer calendar coming your way soon!
Those who have a confirmed spot with us for Hume, be on the lookout for an email from Hume to do their online portion of the registration. As you fill it out, know that you can skip over the roommate request form. That is only for campers not attending with a group. Additionally, we apologize if you several invite code emails. Their system was having a rough day, and it didn’t look like the codes were sending. If you did receive multiple, know that only your most recent version will work. Expect that it will continue to send periodic reminders until the form is completed.
If you’re on the waitlist, we will update you as soon as we get news on additional spots. We did confirm that we are first in line to receive them as any other groups release unused registrations.
Thank You for Donating Snacks!
A few weeks ago, we asked if some families would like to provide snacks for our early, outdoor hangout time from 7–7:30, and a big thank you to those who have already contributed! If you’d like to donate to the cause, please contact Luke at firstname.lastname@example.org. Safety note: So that masks can remain up during the indoor portion of OASIS, we’ll make sure all snacks get consumed outside, and we will encourage distancing while eating. Also, if homemade, please provide an ingredients list to ensure those with allergies know what’s in them.
I’ll have more coming your way soon, but until then, please feel free to reach out with any questions or if there’s any way I can be praying for you and your family!
