Today’s The BIG Day!

The big day is finally here, and we’re ready to celebrate! It’s Pastor Jilane’s first day as our Middle School Pastor! She’ll be making a big splash of an entrance at tonight’s Sink or Swim at the Kaiser’s, 15708 Bacara Ct, San Diego, CA 92131 at 6pm. Bring $5 for pizza and drinks, or you can optionally register and pay online.

Camp Recap

We had SUCH a great week at Forest Home this last week! Spending those 6 days up the mountain with 60 campers and 11 counselors reminded me of just how fun, powerful, and life-changing camp can be. Nearly a third of our campers made some sort faith decision at camp—to either follow Jesus for the first time or recommit to following him more closely, and 6 even got baptized in the lake! 

To those that helped make camp possible: parents and scholarship donors who scraped together the money, counselors who served, friends and family who prayed for our campers while they were gone, and anyone else who played a role: THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for helping create these life-changing moments for our Oasis Middle students.

Signing Off for Now

With Jilane starting, I’m handing over the reigns of the Oasis Middle email list (and a whole lot more!) to her starting today. But I’m not going anywhere! I’ll be continuing to lead our whole student team as I myself transition into the role of Student Ministries Pastor with direct involvement in High School and oversight of all Student Ministries to ensure continuity and a unified vision of building a safe place for students to connect with God and others.
