Give back this Christmas with our Reverse Advent Calendar! Ever feel like you and your family sometimes miss the true meaning of Christmas? What if you had a daily Advent activity that focused on Jesus and the joy of giving? This Advent season participate in doing a Reverse Advent Calendar.
Here is how this works . . .
If you have participated in our Reverse Advent Calendar in the past, please know that we will not be collecting these bags at church. You may take your advent bags directly to the San Diego Food Bank or a shelter of your choice.
Over the next 24 days (starting 12/1/18) collect items that will make a difference for those living in poverty right here in San Diego. This act of giving will be supported through daily scripture readings as we gain Biblical, practical insight on giving to those around us who need a helping hand.
Action Needed:
- Follow the instructions on the Reverse Advent Calendar guide of items to be placed in the bag and spend time daily in His word.
- At the end of the Advent Season, deliver your bag to the San Diego Food Bank or a shelter of your choice.
- As a reminder, we will not be collecting these bags on Christmas Eve as we have done in the past. Below is information on the San Diego Food Bank for you to work directly with them on delivering your bag.
