Well, we completed the second day of our VBS experience and had fun discovering the bigness of God in the smallest of things! Our campers have stayed focused on our mission and recognizing that we were made to MAGNIFY GOD! Today we saw some awesome dress up costumes including bumble bees, lady bugs, praying mantises, caterpillars, bee keepers, and more!
Our campers were very busy at all the rotations today! Did you see the adorable butterfly and caterpillars that came home? The kids loved their time at rec the last couple of days with extra FUN and giggles while catching balloons in massive butterfly nets. Mr. Michael is so creative. Our song and dance time was spent learning the song “God sees me!”
God cares for us!
Today we learned that God cares for us! Our Bible story came from Mark 4. Jesus used a boat to cross a lake with His disciples. A huge windstorm started. The boat started to fill up with water. Jesus was in the back of the boat asleep. The disciples woke Him up asking for help, and Jesus stopped the storm. The disciples were amazed that the wind and sea obeyed Jesus. We hope our kids recognize that God keeps the whole universe going, and yet He still cares about what is happening to each of us!
Vision de Dios in Tijuana!
Thank you to all the kids that brought money today for the kids of Vision de Dios in Tijuana! We were quite busy collecting money and we were so impressed by all the kids who set up lemonade stands to help raise money! We were so anxious to see who raised more money (boys or girls) and how many “school supplies” they collected! At the end of the day, we celebrated that the BOYS brought in enough money for ONE stacks of school supplies. But the GIRLS brought in even more money and contributed THREE sets! I bet we can get even more this week! Our friends in Mexico will be so grateful for our generous donations. Please encourage your kids to do small chores/jobs around the house – or maybe you have a coin jar they can raid?!

Tomorrow
Tomorrow kids should wear their regular Magnified shirt – we will be doing Group Photos for a special treat on Thursday. On THURSDAY we will have crazy, color spirit day. Kids can come dressed head to toe in their group color!
