This year’s Jr. Winter Camp at Indian Hills was nothing short of amazing. From unseasonably warm weather to powerful moments of worship and life-changing decisions, God showed up in big ways all weekend long.

Our Theme: GLOW

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

Our weekend theme, GLOW, reminded campers that our light comes from Jesus. No matter how dark things may feel, Jesus is the true Light—and that light changes everything.

Chapel Sessions: Encountering the Light of Jesus

We gathered for four chapel sessions that walked campers through how Jesus’ light meets us, changes us, and shines through us:

Session 1: Jesus Heals the Blind Man (John 9:1–12)

Theme: Jesus brings light into our darkness.
Campers learned that Jesus sees us fully and meets us in the places we may feel stuck or unseen.

Session 2: Paul’s Conversion (Acts 9:1–19)

Theme: Jesus’ light transforms lives.
Through Paul’s dramatic encounter with Jesus, campers saw how no one is too far gone for God’s transforming light.

Session 3: The Resurrection (Matthew 28:1–10)

Theme: Jesus is the light that defeats the darkest night.
We celebrated the truth that even death could not overcome the light of Jesus.

Session 4: You Are the Light (Matthew 5:14–16)

Theme: We shine because of Jesus’ light in us.
Campers were encouraged to let God’s light shine through their words, actions, and love for others.

Worship That Rocked 🎶

Worship was a highlight of the weekend! Campers loved rocking out together and learning what it looks like to have a meaningful posture of worship– engaging not just their voices, but their hearts.

Camp Highlights: Fun, Food, Friendship, and Fellowship

In addition to powerful spiritual moments, the weekend was packed with unforgettable fun- and the start of some truly amazing friendships. Throughout the weekend, campers built new connections, strengthened existing friendships, and experienced the joy of belonging in a Christ-centered community.

The Food 🍕🍳

Believe it or not, the food was a major highlight! Pizza, chicken wings, sliders, pancakes, eggs… need we say more?

Activities Galore

Saturday was filled with incredible hang time and special activities, including:

  • Zip Line
  • Archery
  • Laser Tag
  • Gold Mining

Campers also loved the petting zoo, which featured donkeys, a pony, chickens, goats, hamsters, and more.

And of course, the general store was a huge hit- slushies, chips, candy, and treats kept everyone fueled and smiling.

A Reason to Celebrate 🙌

The most important highlight of the weekend was seeing God move in the hearts of our kids. Seven campers made first-time commitments to give their lives to Christ. 

Praise God for His light that saves, transforms, and continues to shine!

We are also incredibly thankful for the BEST adult and youth leaders, who cared for and loved our kids so well all weekend long. Their time, energy, and hearts made this weekend safe, fun, and deeply meaningful for every camper.

We are so thankful for our campers, leaders, volunteers, and everyone who prayed and supported Jr. Winter Camp. We can’t wait to see how God continues to work through the light He has placed in each of these kids.
