We had quite a night in our Winter Wonderland last night! I tried to tell the kids to be careful in the snow and limit the snowball fights to outside (they kept looking at me funny, for some reason?!). Regardless, we were all bundled up in our puffer jackets, ear muffs, gloves and boots! :)

Game time was awesome as the clubbers DID actually engage in a mock “snowball fight.” Gotta love Mr. Ryan, coming up with such creative and fun ideas for these kids!

Table time was busy as usual. These clubbers come ready to fire away with those verses; it’s hard for the leaders to keep up (which is a good problem to have!).

During Counsel Time, Ms. Betsy continued with the cereal-of-the-week. Believe it or not, the clubbers already knew that the cereal that would correspond with a Winter Wonderland was….

FROSTED FLAKES!

Ms. Betsy shared some interested facts about Frosted Flakes – like that it was “born” in 1951 and that it was originally called Sugar Frosted Flakes. We talked about how Frosted Flakes are really just Corn Flakes coated with sugar – and who doesn’t like things that taste just a little sweeter! In fact, having Jesus in our life and in our heart can make our life sweeter too.

Ms. Betsy then shared a story from the book of Luke. There were two events going on at the same time – one was a woman who had been very sick for a long time and went to find Jesus to see if he could help her. The other was a man named Jairus whose twelve-year old daughter was dying. He came to see if Jesus could help to save her. Ask your child how these two events played out – and how Jesus was able to make their lives sweeter??

We reviewed our song that we learned last week, from Psalm 34:8. “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” (See if your Clubber can do it for you!)

Next week is one of our all-time favorite nights – BARF NIGHT! For our new families, it’s not as gross as it sounds – it’s actually “Bring A Real Friend” night. Start inviting now! We want a room full of lots of friends!! (And clubbers get extra points for their team is they bring a friend).

Our clubbers did an AMAZING job bringing donations for the people in Mexico at the Rio Al Mar orphanage. Our bins were overflowing!! What a blessing that will be to our friends in Mexico. :)

Have a wonderful week – see you next Wednesday!
