Our New Hero!

The secret identity of our new hero and Middle School Pastor has been revealed: It’s our very own Jilane Hawkins! For more info about her background, you can view the formal announcement here. But suffice it to say, she loves Jesus, she loves middle schoolers almost as much, and she’s an incredibly gifted teacher and leader. It all adds up to an amazing fit and an incredible addition to our student ministries team. She’ll also continue her role as our Director of Missions, so she definitely has her hands full! She’ll be starting July 1, and we will be planning opportunities for you to interact with Jilane and celebrate with her as we share our vision for Oasis Middle’s future.

Superhero Sunday

Speaking of heroes, this Sunday, you can be one, too! Come dressed up as your favorite hero for Super Hero Sunday, and have your kids bring all their loose change to help change the world! All money donated will buy school supplies for kids in Vision de Dios in Tijuana, Mexico.

Sink or Swim!

And last, but certainly not least, our first summer Sink or Swim is coming up this next Thursday, June 17! Big thanks to the Kaiser Family is hosting this one! As always, we’ll be grilling burgers, swimming in the pool, and having a great time as we splash into summer. And we’ll have special guest, Pastor Chad hosting this one, as I will be off celebrating my oldest son’s 8th birthday that night.
