Service Opportunity: Christmas in August
Every December we go down to Tijuana to celebrate Christmas with our friends from Vision De Dios. We decorate cookies, hear a Christmas message and hand out Christmas shoebox gifts. However, we know how busy the holidays are so we thought we would start our shopping in August. If you and your student would like to go shopping and fill a shoebox for a child in Tijuana you can get all the information HERE:
God’s Got Your Back Challenge!
At our last Sink or Swim I handed out “God’s Got Your Back” verse pack with the 3 verses about God’s Love , Joy and Peace that your student can attach to their backpack and bring the truth of God’s Word with them to school. Throughout the school year we will have verses they can add to their keychain. You may want to jot down these verses and memorize them with your student. Great verses to have not just at school but in our homes and workplaces!!
