We’re excited to recognize and thank Rob Sobie as September’s Volunteer Spotlight!  He has been a vital part of our church community and has helped out in a lot of wonderful ways. Read more about how God has worked through Rob at Canyon Springs Church.

What Ministry / Group do you Volunteer With?

Set up/Tear down Ministry (or anywhere I find a way to help).

When did you start coming to Canyon Springs?

January 2001

What made you decide to Volunteer?

The need was clear and having been blessed with the things that could make a difference and could be put to use, it was an easy decision.

What is your favorite part about Volunteering?

Knowing that I could make a subtle difference by doing something that I enjoy doing.

Do you volunteer with other organizations?

Yes. Mission work in Guatemala, Haiti and Mexico, local high school events, college and career ministries.

Rob was blessed to be a part of a team that moved this little girl, Rosa, and others living in a trash dump (literally) to a small adopted village (Zacapa). Rob shared that Rosa yearned for all the education she could get both at school and church. Here the two stand in the newly constructed church he and his team recently built!
